TRIP A (CYCLE)
JOYRIDE DOWN SWARTBERG PASS - 54km
You are driven by bus to the top of the Swartberg Mountain from where you cycle back to the hostel.
You are able to ride in your own time stopping where you want whenever you want. Options en-route back include: Cango Caves, Camel Farm, Cango Ostrich Farm,
Tea Garden for lunch and a swim and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. If you cycle straight back without stopping you could arrive at Paradise around 12H00 – 13H00. If you are on the Baz Bus you need two nights here!
We do not recommend that you cycle to the Waterfall, although it has been done!
To be collected anywhere on the route when cycling will cost a minimum of R100pp for the transport.
TRIP B (CYCLE)
JOYRIDE FROM THE CANGO CAVES - 30KM
You are driven by bus to the Cango Caves. After your tour you cycle back to the hostel in your own time stopping where you want whenever you want.
Options en-route back include: Cango Caves, Camel Farm, Cango Ostrich Farm,
Tea Garden for lunch and a swim and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. If you are on the Baz Bus you need two nights here!
TRIP C (CYCLE)
JOYRIDE FROM THE OSTRICH FARM - 15km
You are driven by bus to the Cango Caves, after your tour you are driven by bus to the Cango Ostrich farm. From there you cycle back to the hostel.
Options en-route back include: The Tea Garden for lunch and a swim and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. If you are on the Baz Bus you need two nights here!
TRIP D (BUS)
JOYRIDE IN THE BUS
You are driven by bus to the Cango Caves, after your tour we will
pick you up and drop you at the Cango Ostrich Farm.
After the ostrich farm tour you have two options:
1. we will drop you off at Backpacker Paradise or
2. drop you off at the Cango Wildlife Ranch and then you have to walk back to BP Paradise (about 3km or 25min walk).
If you are on the baz bus – you need two nights UNLESS YOU ONLY VISIT 2 ATTRACTIONS IN THE MORNING.

- Ostrich riding has a weight limit of about 75kg (depending on farm).
- Riding an ostrich is included in the price at the Cango Ostrich Farm.
- To touch a Cheetah or Tiger or to do a Croc Cage Dive will cost you extra at the Cango Wildlife Ranch.

C.P. NEL MUSEUM
In 1972 the CP Nel collection was brought to its present home - the former
Oudtshoorn Boys' High School. As a result of this, the sandstone building,
with its beautiful clock tower, was saved from demolition. The building as a
whole dates back to the second "ostrich feather boom" (1900 - 1914) and was
declared a National Monument in 1981. Visiting Hours:

The house was built in 1909, when Oudtshoorn was in the midst of the second
